The Australian National University (ANU) has been a core partner of CQC²T since 2011. The team at ANU includes five Chief Investigators – Node Director Prof Ping Koy Lam, A.Prof Ben Buchler, A.Prof Matt Sellars, Prof Elanor Huntington and Prof Matthew James – with over 30 researchers and students.
The Australian National University hosts four Programs and two Work Packages in the Centre of Excellence: Quantum Repeater Technology Program led by Prof. Lam; Spinwave Engineering for Active Quantum Memories Program led by A/Prof Buchler, Rare-Earth Integration Program led by A.Prof Sellars and Integrated Quantum Networks and Control Program co-led by Program Managers Prof Huntington and Prof James with Hidehiro Yowenaza from UNSW Canberra. The Communication Networks Work Package is led by A.Prof Sellars, and the Memory Technologies Work Package by A. Prof Buchler.
The CQC²T node has five CQC²T experimental laboratories located at The Department of Quantum Science and The Laser Physics Centre within The Research School of Physics and Engineering. These include Solid-State Spectroscopy Facilities, Quantum Memory Laboratory, Quantum Communication Laboratory, the Quantum Control Laboratory and the Ultra Precision Lathe Facility
